Wine Flights…a better way to taste!

Wandering Dog Wine Bar offers the most interesting and delicious wines from artisan producers along the Central Coast, as well as from around the world.  We carry over 40+ wines by the glass, and over 200 by the bottle, so there is always something for everyone.  Enjoy one of our themed flights that include 3 wines with 3 oz. pours of each, or order a glass of wine and relax with friends.  We also offer beer flights and beer by the bottle for those ready to kick back with a cold one!   Guests can enjoy some “little bites” while they taste, ranging from gourmet antipasto or cheese platters to delicious chocolate truffles that come in various flavors.

A few of the possible tasting flights are Local Whites or Reds, Seasonal Reds, Bubbles, Sweet Tooth or higher-end flights such as Staff Favorites or Garagiste.   The price for tasting ranges from $12 to ~$35 depending on which flight you choose.  After tasting, guests are encouraged to stay and enjoy a glass of their favorite or take a bottle home with them to share with family and friends. When you take a bottle home with you from your flight you will recieve 50% off the price of your flight, so an even better excuse to leave with your favorite.  The beer tasting is $10-$22 and includes 4-10 brews from around the world, 4 oz. pours of each. 

At Wandering Dog Wine Bar you will never see any scores posted.  All that matters is what you like, so follow your palate and don’t be influenced by ratings.  Our staff is passionate about wine, and will take you on a tasting journey to find one that is perfect for you.

 A few “local favorites” that are regularly featured on tastings and by the glass: Transcendence, Clesi, Alban, McPrice Myers, Herman Story, Nagy2, Kaena, Tyler, Baehner~Fournier, Roark, Luminesce, Kessler-Haak, Cold Heaven, Bien Nacido, Sanguis, Chanin, Deovlet, Jonata, Standing Sun, J. Dusi, L’Aventure, Storm and Pence.

 Beer flights offer the customers a choice between light, medium and heavy weight beers. Each flight includes 4 beers, or customers can craft there own from the 12 beers we have available for tasting at any given time. Here are a few of our faves: Weihenstephaner from Germany, St. Peter’s from England, Green Flash from San Diego, Napa Smith from California, Coney Island from New York, Mission Brewery from San Diego, Samuel Smith from England, Uinta from Utah,  Einstock from Iceland, plus many more seasonal brews from around the world!
