Nearby Attractions
One of the best features of Los Gatos, California property is that it’s minutes away from many of the Bay Area’s attractions. At Team Ardizzone & Howmiller, we travel around the region a great deal and we have a personal appreciation for the convenience that the Los Gatos area’s central location provides.
Not surprisingly, quite a few owners of Los Gatos, California property are Silicon Valley executives who find the community’s small-town atmosphere a refreshing change, but who also like the fact that the tech centers are nearby. While the town itself is fully equipped to provide practically everything you want and need – from Bentleys to a topnotch education – the fact that it’s close to the beaches, the mountains and the big city attractions of San José and San Francisco makes Los Gatos, California property even more attractive.
Monte Sereno is the town’s closest neighbor and is famous for having been the base, at one time or another, of Beat writers such as Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac. Steinbeck also wrote The Grapes of Wrath and Of Mice and Men in a house here that’s still standing.
A bit further north is the city of Saratoga, which has its own extensive selection of wineries, restaurants, historic locations and shops. San José, with its myriad dining, shopping and recreation options, is just a short drive away. When we’re not in Los Gatos, we at Team Ardizzone & Howmiller enjoy shopping in San José’s Santana Row and dining and relaxing at Carmel. For even more choices, there’s always San Francisco.
